The Charité Pediatic Cardiology Department has longlasting experience in the whole spectrum of diagnosis und therapy of congenital heart disease, aquired heart disease and - with special focus- arrhythmia. We would like to present this on the following pages.

We care for approximately 1500 inpatients and 2500 outpatients every year.

Main Focus

  • prenatal diagnostic and counceling together with the obstretic departments for prenatal diagnostics at CVK und CCM
  • perinatale care of newborns with congenital heart defects with the neonatal departments.
  • Outpatient department for pediatric cardiology, arhythmia, pacemaker and AICD therapy.
  • Cardiologic Outpatient Center for social-pediatric care.
  • Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cathetherization.
  • Center for cardiac rhythm disease and invasive electrphysiology for pediatric patients and grown ups with congenital heart disease (GUCH).
  • Pediatric cardiology intermediate care
  • perioperative care together with the German Heart Center Berlin (DHZB) and the Charité cardiovascular surgery department (Klinik für kardiovaskuläre Chirurgie, CCM).
  • consultant care for pediatric patients in any subspecialities of the pediatric clinic.
